Lacombe Police charge man with possession of property obtained by crime

On April 10 a member of the Lacombe Police Service observed a black Ford F350 broken down in the intersection of 58 Street and 50 Avenue, in Lacombe. The man in the truck was observed attempting to refill the gas tank. Further investigation found the truck had been stolen from a residence in Lacombe County on April 3, 2020. 

When police attempted to arrest the male, he failed to comply with the officer’s demands. A short foot pursuit ensued and the man was arrested without incident. 

Lester MARTIN, 34, of Bentley, Alberta has been arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of break-in instruments, and resist/obstruct a peace officer.

Martin is scheduled to appear in Red Deer Provincial Court on July 14, 2020.
